She can impact games both in the air and at ground level and is a match winner at her best.

Wolmarans enjoyed a strong U18 National Championships, including a four-goal game against the Allies.

Evie Cowcher

Club: Peel Thunder

From: Boddington

Position: Key Defender

Height: 175cm

Age: 18

The Peel Thunder defender is a highly consistent player who is destined to be snapped up in the AFLW Draft.

Cowcher entered this year with a host of accolades next to her name following a highly successful few seasons.

A WAFLW Rising Star, back-to-back All-Australians and MVPs at Under-18s level, and a key player for Peel Thunder, injury restricted her impact in 2025.

Back stress fractures restricted her to just four WAFLW games and a National Academy match but she is now injury free and impressed at the National Combine.

Despite that setback Cowcher is likely to go early in the first round.

Olivia Crane

Club: Subiaco

From: Wanneroo FC

Position: Key Defender

Height: 181cm

Age: 18

An exceptional talent, Crane has forged a reputation as a fine intercept marking defender with a lethal left foot.

Crane returned from an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury earlier this year, an injury which curtailed her bottom-age campaign.

On her return this year in Round 5 of the WAFLW she gathered 17 disposals as she slipped seamlessly back into game mode.

At national level, Crane was used on the wing and in defence, displaying her defensive qualities and clean hands during the championships.

At 181cm, Crane looms as a ready-made defender at AFLW level, with the ability to move up the ground.

Mia Russo

Club: West Perth

From: Wanneroo

Position: Midfielder

Height: 165cm

Age: 18

Russo is a powerful midfielder who shapes as a first-round selection.

A dual competition fairest-and-best winner at Rogers Cup level for West Perth, Russo relishes being an inside midfielder and has been on the radar of AFLW talent scouts.

Despite injury setbacks heading into 2025 she played eight games for the Falcons in the WAFLW.

She continued to produce big numbers, averaging more than 20 disposals a game.

At the U18 National Championships she played all four games and was rewarded with All-Australian selection.

Russo has shown enormous character in her fledgling career and could be one of the first West Australians called out in the AFLW Draft.

Carys D’Addario

Club: Swan Districts

From: Caversham

Position: Midfielder

Height: 168cm

Age: 18

Made her mark in the WAFLW in 2025 with superb work at stoppages and midfield numbers which cemented her place as a standout AFLW Draft candidate.

D’Addario put behind her a series of injuries to rack up impressive numbers as a genuine inside mid.

Her first month at WAFLW for Swan Districts saw her average 26 disposals a game and she finished the season with an average of 24 possessions a match.

In three WAFLW finals D’Addario was a model of consistency having 26, 26 and 25 disposals, and averaging six tackles per game.

On top of her WAFLW season, Carys finished equal fifth in the Best and Fairest at the U18s National Championships, winning Western Australia’s MVP.

Juliet Kelly

Club: Claremont

From: Marist

Position: Midfielder

Height: 173cm

Age: 18

Juliet Kelly has a reputation of being a hard-working midfielder with elite endurance, who can also play off half-back.

Highly thought of by her teammates and coaches, Kelly is willing to do any role asked of her.

Kelly emerged as an AFLW prospect due to her outstanding form in 2025.

Having missed her bottom-age National Championships due to representing Australia in the Rowing World Championships, she was prominent at the AFLW Under 18 Championships, averaging 17 disposals and four tackles per match.

Kelly’s season included a flag with Claremont, and she also broke the all-time WAFLW disposal record with 48 against East Perth in Round 8.

Her body of work meant she earned a late invitation to the National Draft Combine.

Alicia Blizard

Club: East Fremantle

From: Willetton

Position: Tall Forward

Height: 174cm

Age: 18

An athletic player with elite forward pressure, Alicia Blizard has the potential to become a goalkicking weapon.

The talented Indigenous teenager has come through the WA Football Talent Pathway system, making a stunning WAFLW debut for East Fremantle last season, booting three goals.

Blizard’s power and goal sense have been on display in 2025 and she has shown that she’s ready to take the next step and become an AFLW player.

At the Under 18s National Championships, she averaged nearly 10 disposals a game and kicked a couple of goals to catch the attention of AFLW recruiters.

Renee Morgan

Club: South Fremantle

From: Jandakot

Position: Midfielder

Height: 168cm

Age: 18

Renee Morgan is not only a competitive midfielder, but she also has a defensive side to her game which has impressed many.

Having played more than 200 junior games, the teenager is tough and team orientated.

Morgan has been destined for an AFLW career for years having enjoyed great success with the Bulldogs in the Rogers Cup, before breaking into the South Fremantle League side and having an immediate impact.

In 2025, she played eight WAFLW games and represented WA at the Under 18s National Championships.

During the carnival she averaged 18 disposals a game, spending time in the middle and at half-back.

Morgan was also given an invitation to attend this year’s National Draft Combine.

Maya Louvel-Finn

Club: East Fremantle

From: Palmyra

Position: Defender

Height: 170cm

Age: 18

East Fremantle defender Maya Louvel-Finn has enjoyed a brilliant 2025 season to put her in the frame as an AFLW Draft candidate.

Whether she was representing her state or East Fremantle in the WAFLW, Maya emerged as one of WA’s best prospects despite having only playing football for the past four seasons.

A top three finish in East Fremantle’s Fairest and Best award despite missing six matches, the talented teenager maintained her outstanding form playing for WA.

So much so, Maya was named an All-Australian in the back pocket.

Louvell-Finn’s year was capped off when she was invited to the State Draft Combine.

Ella Gilbey

Club: Claremont

From: West Coast JFC

Position: Forward/Wing

Height: 169cm

Age: 18

Ella Gilbey’s athletic attributes have catapulted her name into calculations for AFLW Draft selection.

Possessing an exciting outside game either on a wing or as a forward, Ella’s running game was a highlight for Claremont in 2025.

Gilbey played 12 games with the Tigers in the WAFLW this season, averaging 10 disposals and booting 11.10 across the season.

She also played all four games at the Under 18s National Championships, averaging 11 disposals a match.

After being invited to the State Draft Combine she clocked a record 60cm vertical jump, the highest of any player across the country and also impressed with her sprint and agility tests.

Ava Stewart

Club: Swan Districts

From: Belmont JFC

Position: Key Position/Utility

Height: 180cm

Age: 18

Ava Stewart’s development as a player of promise continued in 2025.

A good overhead mark and sound ball user, Stewart is a good distributor coming out of defence and can be a target as a forward inside 50 with her mobility and speed.

She played all four games for WA at the Under 18’s National Championships and was a solid contributor with her spoiling and intercept marking a highlight.

Stewart’s season was rewarded with a State Draft Combine invitation as she pushes for a call up to the AFLW.

The young Swan, who has just turned 18, may find herself on an AFLW list.

Lucy Greenwood

Club: East Perth

From: Coolbinia JFC

Position: Small Forward

Height: 163cm

Age: 18

Lucy Greenwood is a versatile athlete with the ability to play forward, wing or as an inside midfielder.

She has a proven track record having already been a 2024 State Academy member and winning East Perth’s leading goalkicker and Best and Fairest awards last season.

The 163cm forward continued her WAFLW development in 2025 but injuries reduced her output.

She has now played 19 games and kicked 9 goals in her fledgling career.

Greenwood also represented WA at the Under 18s National Championships.

There is no question Greenwood is one of the most talented local players in the draft crop, and while consistency was an issue in 2025, her form prior to this year suggests she has the game to get to the next level.

Sienna Timmermans

Club: Perth

From: State Academy 18s

Position: Tall Defender

Height: 175cm

Age: 19

An over-ager with a background in elite sport, Timmermans was a netballer before crossing codes to play football with Perth this year.

In her 12 WAFLW games this year with the Demons she averaged nine disposals, two marks and four tackles per game in a defence which absorbed more than its share of inside 50s.

A lockdown defender, Sienna enjoyed a solid Under 18s National Championships playing crucial roles on the oppositions’ best forwards.

Despite not being part of the Elite Pathways Program until May, Timmermans has continued to develop as a footballer, giving her a realistic chance of being taken in next month’s AFLW Draft.
