Two West Aussies feature in AFL.com.au phantom top-30 draftTuesday, November 18, 2025 - 1:01 PM - by Jordan McArdle

Two West Australian talents are set to be snapped up in the first round of the AFL draft on Wednesday night, according to prominent draft expert Cal Twomey.

Long-time AFL.com.au draft writer Twomey released his annual Top-30 Phantom Draft on Monday, with West Perth half-back Jacob Farrow and Swan Districts small forward Tylah Williams featuring.

Under-18s All-Australian and Falcons senior WAFL representative Farrow is expected to be the first WA talent to be called out in the draft after earning an invitation to the first night at Marvel Stadium on Wednesday.

Twomey, who has a long history of nailing his phantom drafts, has Hayden Young-like defender-midfielder Farrow heading to Melbourne with pick 11.

Some other phantom drafts have Farrow going inside the top-10 picks to Essendon.

West Coast Next Generation Academy product Williams, a silky-skilled forward who made his senior WAFL debut for the Eagles late in the season, is expected to become an Eagle this week.

But Twomey has cross-town rivals Fremantle putting in a bid for him at pick 24, meaning West Coast will be forced to match it and slide down the draft order with their following picks if they want him on their list.

Williams is one of several Eagles NGA talents in the mix to get drafted this week alongside Subiaco forward Wes Walley and Perth midfielder Koby Evans.

They’ve also got first dibs on Claremont gun and Mel Whinnen Medal winner Charlie Banfield, the son of West Coast legend and dual premiership hero Drew, under the father-son rule.

WA Football Talent Manager Adam Jones expects around 8-12 West Aussies to get picked up by AFL clubs this week.

The first round of the draft is on Wednesday evening, with the second round onwards happening on Thursday evening followed by the rookie draft on Friday morning.
