Harry Taylor returns to East FremantleThursday, July 1, 2021 - 2:34 PM

One of East Fremantle's favourite sons will make a highly-anticipated comeback next week after Harry Taylor offered to return to the Sharks in search of a finals appearance.

It's been nearly 14 years since Taylor played a WAFL game, ironically if he lines up for the Sharks next week, it will be his 50th.

Taylor's decroated AFL career speaks for itself, playing 280 games for Geelong and winning two premierships with the Cats.

The gun defender has been playing for Northampton in the Great Northern Football League, where he is also operations manager, after 13 seasons at Geelong.

"Hopefully I can fill a gap until the cavalry arrives,” Taylor said.

“I’m a competitive person and can’t wait to get back out there and play my part.

“There is a lot of talent in the key position stocks at East Fremantle but unfortunately there have been a few injuries.”

“I’m really looking forward to getting out on the field with the boys,” he said.

“I’m keen to help East Fremantle in their push to become a consistently competitive club in the WAFL.”

Barring any WA State Government restrictions, Taylor could line up against Peel Thunder next Saturday.
