AFL School Ambassador Program

AFL School Ambassadors are passionate teachers and staff who commit to actively and positively promote our great game in their school.

The program was launched in 2004 by the Minister for Education and Director General at Subiaco Oval.

More than 1000 WA teachers have been inducted into the program to date.

AFL School Ambassadors are supported with the following:

  • Professional development sessions
  • Role description
  • Resources and subsidies
  • Access to intra-school and inter-school programs and competitions
  • Lesson ideas and activities

Schools Ambassadors also receive a resource pack during the year which ranges from AFL School Ambassador apparel to stationary depending on the number of programs the Ambassador was involved in during the previous year.

Ambassadors are ranked Gold, Silver and Bronze depending on their involvement with the resource corresponding to each level.

* Teachers must go through the WA Football Commission’s Induction to be recognised as an AFL School Ambassador. Schools may have more than one AFLSA.
