WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT FOOTBALL?

Football is a great way to make friends, have fun while being active!

If you want to be active, laugh and have a good time then Football is for you!

NEW TO THE GAME?

Football caters for all ages and ability levels, so it doesn't matter if you know alot or very little about the game.

Our coaches are there to help and will teach you all the skills and rules you need in a fun, safe and friendly environment! 

WHERE TO PLAY?

Clubs have junior and senior competitoins for girls and women to play all around the country, these are in school year groups to ensure that girls are playing with their school friends. Use the club locator to find your closest club at www.play.afl  

NAB AFL Auskick: Pre-Primary - Year 3

  • NAB AFL Auskick introduces primary school aged boys and girls an their familes to football
  • In a weekly coaching program, childern learn the skills of the game through modified activities and rules in a fun and safe environment

Junior Girls: Year 4 - Year 6 

  • Girls have the choice to play with the boys play in a structured mixed gender football competition or girls only competitions.
  • Junior football rules are modified to meet the skill level and safety needs

Community Youth Girls: Year 7- Year 9 & Year 10-Year 12

  • Girls can play in mixed gender teams up to the age of 14
  • These teams are aligned to community junior football clubs

Mundella WAWFL Youth Girls Year 10- Year 12

  • These teams are aligned to the 9 Mundella WA Women's Football League Clubs
  • Players must play for the club within their District
  • Games are played Sunday Mornings before WAWFL Seniors 

Senior Competitions: Year 12+ 

In WA there is a State League Women's Competition known as the Mundella WA Women's Football League http://www.wawfl.com.au

  • Mundella WA Women's Football League Players must be 17 as of the 1st Jan 2017. 
  • There are 9 WAWFL Clubs available across Metro WA with various levels of alignment to the WAFL mens Clubs with two Divisions; League and Reserves.
  • For those players aspiring to play football at the elite level through the talent pathway we encourage them to be playing football on a regualar basis

Senior Community Football

  • With the interest in Female Football continuing to grow to cater for this the WA Football Commission will be looking to implement community club competitions.
  • For those players interested that may have found the WAWFL Competition too competitive this will become the entry level competition for Senior Women's Players in the future.
  • This is a great way to make new friends, have fun and try something different.

NON - CONTACT FOOTBALL 

  • Do you love social sport, or want to try something different?
  • Are you time poor and can't commit to training sessions?
  • Do you love watching football, but really want to play but in a non-contact envorinment?...

Then AFL 9's is the perfect competition for you, it's fun, social and non-contact! There are mixed competitions available across metro and regional Australia and the WA Football Commission is also looking to expand female only competitions!

Umpiring is a great way to be involved in the game. It provides an opportunity to get up close to the action while teaching outstanding life skills such as leadership, assertiveness and decision making and earn some extra pocket money!
