State Talent and Draft"
THE countdown to the finals is underway with the West Australian Football Commission releasing the last group of fixtures for the 2022 Home and Away WAFL season.
Rounds 15 to 20 have been locked in, with several critical matchups set to make it a thrilling build up to the finals.
WAFC Executive Manager WAFL and Talent, Scott Baker believes the unpredictability of results will continue.
“This has been the most even WAFL season in years,” Baker said.
The beauty of the ladder heading into the last six rounds is the battle for a place in the top five and the fight for the all-important double chance.”
The upcoming AFLW season in August has presented an extra fixturing challenge, but Baker is confident the WAFC has landed on a schedule that will maintain the profile of the local competition.
“We’re optimistic the WAFL will continue to attract strong interest during a hectic period on the football calendar,” Baker continued.
In planning the fixtures, WAFL Operations Manager Luke Sanders has been meticulous in ensuring the competition hits the finals with momentum.”
