WAFL Match Review – Round 2
The WAFL Match Review Panel has assessed the following incidents from Round 2 of the Optus WAFL League competition;
1. Jesse Turner (Swan Districts) was reported for rough conduct on Jye Clark (Perth) during the Round 2 fixture between Perth and Swan Districts at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday, April 10.
In summary, he has been referred directly to the Tribunal and cannot accept an early guilty plea.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact. Under the table of penalties the offence was classified as a direct referral to the Tribunal and the player cannot accept an early plea.
2. Cody Leggett (East Fremantle) was reported for striking Chad Harris (Subiaco) during the Round 2 fixture between East Fremantle and Subiaco at New Choice Homes Park on Saturday, April 10.
In summary, the above mentioned can accept a reprimand sanction with an early guilty plea.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as careless conduct, low impact and body contact. Under the table of penalties the offence was classified as a one (1) match sanction. An early guilty plea enables the player to reduce the penalty to a reprimand.
3. Corey Byrne (Perth) was reported for rough conduct on Jesse Turner (Swan Districts) during the Round 2 fixture between Perth and Swan Districts at Mineral Resources Park on Saturday, April 10.
In summary, the above mentioned can accept a reprimand sanction with an early guilty plea.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as careless conduct, low impact and high contact. Under the table of penalties the offence was classified as a one (1) match sanction. An early guilty plea enables the player to reduce the penalty to a reprimand.
