2012 WAFL Finals

THE West Australian Football League has announced 2012 Finals Fixtures.

WAFL Operations Manager Cameron Knapton said the WAFL finals had been scheduled to maximize attendance and avoid clashing with AFL finals where possible, particularly matches featuring the Fremantle Dockers and West Coast Eagles.

“We want to give WA football fans the opportunity to watch AFL finals and WAFL finals where possible,” he said.

“Reserves and Colts finals have been scheduled to follow the highest ranked League teams, while also avoiding any stand-alone games at separate venues.

“League finals will also start five minutes later at 2.15pm to allow for more pre-game coverage and build-up on ABC TV.

“In the event of a draw a ‘golden score’ will apply in Reserves and Colts finals, with the game clock continuing to run from the 25-minute mark of the final quarter until one team scores. A League draw will see an extra five minutes played each way.”
