All four games were played on Saturday afternoon with West Perth beating Perth 16.10 (106) to 8.16 (64) at Lathlain's Brownes Stadium, Subiaco holding on against East Fremantle 13.7 (85) to 10.19 (79) at East Fremantle Oval, Swan Districts hammering Peel at Bendigo Bank Stadium 27.15 (177) to 12.14 (86) and East Perth beating South Fremantle 16.21 (117) to 8.10 (58) at Fremantle Oval.
East Perth set up next Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with Swan Districts with a 59-point win over South Fremantle in what was the Royals first victory at Fremantle Oval since Round 18, 2003.
Anthony Kyanga kicked three goals for the Royals with big men Paul Johnson (22 possessions, 34 hit outs) and Zac Clarke (26, 18) dominant. Ben Saunders kicked two goals for South Fremantle with Kris Miller racking up 28 possessions.
West Perth maintained touch with fourth-placed East Fremantle with a 42-point win over Perth with Andrew Strijk, Steven Browne, Anthony Tsalikis and Chris Keunen all kicking two goals, and youngster Shane Nelson gathering 32 disposals. Ross Young had 33 possessions for Perth.
Subiaco also stayed in touch with the four with a six-point win over East Fremantle to continue the Lions dominance of the Sharks over the last decade. Rhys Waters kicked four goals for the Lions to go with his 25 disposals while Rob Young kicked three for East Fremantle.
Swan Districts thumped Peel by 91 points with Ash Hansen kicking 11 goals and Tim Geappen six. Matt Orzel, Brad Holmes, Mat Battye and Kristin Thornton all had two each for the Thunder.
