THE West Australian Football League's pre-season Variety Challenge continues this weekend, with four games scheduled for Saturday, February 27.
Fixtures will see Claremont host Swan Districts, South Fremantle play Perth, Peel Thunder take on Subiaco and West Perth play East Fremantle.
Clubs have been advised that due to the extreme temperatures expected on the day, additional players may be used on the bench and the playing time for each quarter can be reduced.
WAFL Operations Manager Clint Roberts said the use of precautionary measures would be decided at each game on the day.
East Perth has the bye after defeating Subiaco 10.11 (71) to 5.2 (32) in Round 1 of the pre-season competition last Friday night.
East Fremantle took down South Fremantle 12.14 (86) to 9.7 (61) at Fremantle Oval in the other Round 1 contest.
The pre-season ‘WAFL Variety Challenge’ recognises the partnership formed between the children’s charity and WA Football League, which will also see the WAFL donate all gate profits from the four weeks of competition to Variety.
Fixtures continue over the next three weekends.
