Western Australia North West made it a clean sweep for WA at the NAB AFL National 16s Championships on the weekend by adding the Division 3 title to WA's Division 1 win.
Like their Division 1 counterparts, WA North West also remained undefeated throughout the Championships to claim the Division 3 title in their very first year of competition.
Coached by former AFL and WAFL star Phil Narkle, the side claimed convincing wins over South Pacific and the World XVIII before thrashing the Flying Boomerangs by over 100 points in their final game.Zenneth Cox, pictured, from Halls Creek was named WA's MVP for the carnival after an outstanding performance in the midfield and up forward, kicking 5 goals for the carnival and averaging over 20 possessions.

The team included players from the Kimberley, Pilbara, and Gascoyne regions, and was formed this year by the West Australian Football Commission with the support of the AFL, in partnership with the V-Swans program and Garnduwa.
The North West program is being run as part of the WA State Talent Academy, providing an exciting opportunity for the players to have direct access to an elite development experience and compete at the National Championships.
