Great Southern Grammar are the 2011 Great Southern Year 8/9 Boys WAFC Schoolboys winners. Grammar was undefeated throughout the carnival to claim the title from 2010 winners Albany Senior Highs School.

Held at the North Road playing fields the weather thankfully held off long enough to witness some fantastic football played by all the schools that competed.

After five rounds of hard and tough football Grammar emerged victorious by four points over ASHS.

On Friday June 24, the Subiaco District held its annual Fremantle Dockers Cup for Primary School girls in the Lions district at Des Penman Reserve in Nollamara.

This year the teams that competed in the carnival were from Koondoola, Roseworth, St Gerard's, Nollamara, John Septimus Roe and Karrinyup Primary Schools.  Over 120 year 5 – 7 girls took part in five games throughout the day.

"I loved the PD. It was informative, it was interesting and it was relevant to what we do as teachers. In the PD I could straight away identify things that I could easily transfer across to use in my classroom with my kids and thus far they love it. Many PDs are not like this, you often get taught things you should do, or you can do in your class - here I was taught things I wanted to do."

These are some of the experiences over 160 primary students have had already by attending the 2011 Ultimate Footy Classroom program.
