The WAFC will provide funding for the release of up to twenty (20) teachers to attend the coaching course. Morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea will also be provided.

SECONDARY SCHOOL FOOTBALL COACHES SEMINARS - these seminars are open to all school football coaches and aim to educate school football coaches in the areas of skill development, team play and team development. These seminars are presented by AFL and WAFL coaches and are free to all school coaches.

TACKLE CLINICS - specifically designed for those coaching STS Schoolgirl Cup teams and female HPE teachers. These clinics will provide basic understanding and drills to develop safe tackling skills in female footballers and are free to all comers.

JUMPER SUBSIDY FUND / RESOURCE ASSISTANCE SCHEME
The Jumper Subsidy Fund / Resource Assistance Scheme aims to financially assist football friendly schools in purchasing jumpers for a school football team/s and purchasing equipment to enhance the teaching of Australian Football within the school. AFL SCHOOL AMBASSADOR PROGRAM ( Register Here )
Australian Football is fun, exciting and a great way to get your students participating in sport. Over 640 Primary and Secondary teachers have joined the AFL School Ambassador team to obtain access to resources using football as a vehicle to achieve many benefits at their schools.

To use a football analogy the AFL School Ambassador will be the "Scotty West" of your school - gathering the latest football information and "handballing" it off to the relevant members of the school community to run and kick goals with. The next induction day for new AFL School Ambassadors has been proposed for Thursday 13 March 2008 at Subiaco Oval. Registrations close on Friday 29 February.

For more details regarding the AFLSA program, please call Joan Lawson/Jennifer Jenaway at the WAFC on 9381 5599.
