YEARS 1, 2, 3 PROGRAM
(conducted February to May)
* For your own information, “NAB AFL Auskick Program” refers to years 1-3, whilst “NAB AFL Junior Rules” refers to years 4-7.
The Year 1, 2, 3 Promotion will focus specifically on years 1 to 3 and is designed to raise the awareness of NAB AFL Auskick amongst the 5 to 8 year old age group. The Program will operate from February until week four of Term Two and will be conducted by Smarter than Smoking Football Development Officers (FDO), AFL or WAFL players/representatives. Each class will run for 30 minutes, with all classes receiving exciting promotional give-aways.

YEARS 4, 5 PROGRAM
(conducted February to May)

The Year 4, 5 Promotion will focus specifically on years 4 to 5 and is designed to raise the awareness of NAB AFL Junior Rules amongst the 9 to 10 year old age group. The Program will operate from February until week four of Term Two and will be conducted by Smarter than Smoking Football Development Officers (FDO), AFL or WAFL players/representatives. Each class will run for 30 minutes, with all classes receiving promotional give-aways as a reward for participation.

WAFL COACHING CLINICS
(conducted May to August)
A full day's in-service involving a maximum of six (6) x years 4 to 7 classes. Every Coaching Clinic will involve a Smarter Than Smoking FDO or WAFL Player who will take the boys and girls through a 35-40 minute lesson of fun orientated skill activities designed to maximise involvement and enjoyment for all participants.

WAFL SUPERCLINIC
(conducted May to July)
Players are available to conduct a ‘Superclinic' which involves a 45 minute coaching session for the school football team (years 6 & 7). Schools that participate in the "Eagles Cup" or enter a team in a Lightning Carnival will be given preference.

DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
(conducted May to August)
One session per class per week (maximum of 6 classes per school) for 3 weeks by a Smarter than Smoking FDO to ensure an on-going and sequentially developed program. This is aimed at years 4 - 6. Lessons are designed to develop overall motor-coordination and basic footy skills. This program is targeted at schools without a physical education specialist or a comprehensive on-going AFL Junior Rules program. In response to feedback from teachers the number of Development Programs has increased significantly in recent years.

PLAYER ASSEMBLY/CLASS PROMOTIONS
(conducted Feb to Aug)
Players are available to attend a school assembly or attend a class project discussion (subject to player training availability).

The Fremantle Football Club's CDP focuses on the development and delivery of a range of exciting and innovative programs aimed at primary school aged children. WEST COAST EAGLES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM  
The West Coast Eagles provide a range of programs for primary school children, including the Eagles Rock my School and the Access All Areas competition and the ever popular Eagles Cup. The strong emphasis on education helps ensure the success and relevance of these programs. TIPPING COMPETITION  
Win a tour of the Channel 10 studio by getting your class involved with Football Tipping. Individual classrooms can register on the WA Football Website to submit tips each week for Fremantle FC and West Coast Eagles plus the 4 weekly WAFL matches. There are also great weekly prizes available from Burley Sekem.

AFL SCHOOL AMBASSADOR PROGRAM (March)
Over 750 school teachers (596 Primary) have been inducted into this exciting and innovative program since it commenced in 2004. Our target is to increase the State number to 850 in 2009. The one day induction is tentatively booked for Tuesday 17 March 2009. Teacher relief payments and resources are provided. Please complete attached nomination form or contact your local Smarter than Smoking Football Development Officer for more details.

LEVEL 1 COACHING COURSE (May)
A primary school teachers’ level one coaching course is held on Tuesday 5 May 2009 at Subiaco Oval. This course costs $55 and includes a ticket to an AFL game. This course takes into account recognition of prior learning and looks at ways to adapt NAB AFL Auskick to the curriculum framework and student outcome statements.

Alternatively, teachers are welcome to attend any one of our community level one courses. These courses are more generic in their format and presentation.

To better cater for Female Teachers and Coaches of Female Footballers, we offer some modifications to the level 1 course. Those attending the course will be offered 3 modules streamed seperately to address specific Female needs together with all the other modules offered.

EAGLES FACTION FOOTY - REGISTER HERE
 
The West Coast Eagles and the WA Football Commission have formed a fantastic new partnership to increase participation in our national game and enhance the fitness and academic skills of thousands of WA students through active participation in EAGLES FACTION FOOTY. Eagles Faction Footy can be conducted as part of the AFL SEPEP and can be successfully incorporated into two hours of compulsory PE and sport per week. Click here for more information.

DESIGN A FOOTBALL JUMPER COMPETITION
(conducted March to April)
This exciting competition is a tremendous way of promoting football in the lead up to the junior football season whilst providing excellent benefits to your school. The competition involves children designing a new jumper for their school football team based on criteria such as local landmarks, school ethos, school population, location of school, etc. The 2 major prizes are a set of jumpers in the winning design presented to the winning schools (one country, one metro). LIGHTNING CARNIVALS
(conducted May to August)
Primary schools have the option of participating in a One Day Lightning Carnival organised by the schools in their District and/or one conducted by their local WAFL Club. Both types of carnivals will be supported by the WA Football Commission and WAFL clubs.

EAGLES CUP - Link
(conducted May to August)
The Eagles Cup is a specially designed (minimum three weeks) sponsored primary interschool football competition for year 6 and 7 students. The special modified rules (NAB AFL Junior Rules) allow for maximum participation, enjoyment and skill development. The emphasis should always be on playing for fun rather than on winning. Every school who enters receives a benefits pack including a football. If you would like to participate in this program please contact your local Smarter than Smoking Football Development Officer or your Eagles Cup Zone Coordinator. All school clinics are a free service to the schools and are conducted by accredited personnel who have been in serviced and hold police clearances and valid Working with Children checks. All equipment is supplied.
