THE West Australian Football Commission has allocated funding from the Patersons Stadium naming rights sponsorship to support grassroots football programs, facility development and community resources.
The naming rights sponsorship with Patersons Securities, which has seen WA’s home of football renamed Patersons Stadium, has allowed funding to be injected into the following areas:
- Community Facility Fund- A second employee for new WAFC Emerging Markets division
- Additional program resources for WAFC education programs (School Ambassadors, Primary and Secondary School football competitions)
- Community Coaching resources, Junior Community Competitions, Country Regional Football Development Councils, Umpiring resources and State 16s and 18s Talent Academy programs
- WAFL Technology Improvement Fund
- Club Education Fund
WAFC Chief Executive Wayne Bradshaw said all of these important development areas would greatly benefit from additional funding and assist the WAFC’s continued investment into the community.
“We are committed to developing football at grassroots level and funds from the naming rights partnership with Patersons will help us to continue to grow the game. The total investment in grass roots football over the 4 year agreement with Patersons is significant,” Mr Bradshaw said.
