Four West Aussies selected for 18s All-Australian team

Four WA players have been selected for this year’s NAB AFL under 18s All-Australian Team following the conclusion of the under 18s Championships.

Jordan Clark was named in defense, while midfielder Luke English won a palce in the midfield. Jeremy Sharp and Sydney Stack were named on the bench.

The 2018 NAB AFL Under-18 All-Australian team is as follows:

Defenders: Jordan Clark (WA), Buku Khamis (VM), Jacob Koschitzke (NSW/ACT – Allies), Jez McLennan (SA), Isaac Quaynor (VM), Kyle Reid (VC)

Midfield: Kieren Briggs (NSW/ACT – Allies), Luke English (WA), Chayce Jones (Tas – Allies), Bailey Smith (VM), Luke Valente (SA), Samuel Walsh (VC)

Forwards: Jackson Hately (SA), Ben King (VM), Jack Lukosius (SA), Izak Rankine (SA), Bailey Scott (QLD – Allies), Rylee West (VM)

Interchange: Will Gould (SA), Connor McFadyen (QLD – Allies), Mitchell O’Neill (Tas – Allies), Jeremy Sharp (WA), Sydney Stack (WA)

Medium defender who reads the play exceptionally well, has clean hands and distributes the ball well by hand and foot. Outstanding for West Australia winning the MVP award averaging 19.5 disposals and 5.5 rebound 50s across the championships.

Luke English (West Australia, Perth, Manning)
180cm 74kg 14/01/2000
Medium midfielder who excelled with his ball winning ability and distribution whether playing on the inside or outside. Hard at the ball and with clean hands, he averaged 23.2 disposals and 5.5 tackles to be one of West Australia’s top performers.

Jeremy Sharp (Western Australia, East Fremantle, Attadale)
185cm 72kg 13/08/2001
Smooth moving medium midfielder with speed, agility and an excellent distributor of the ball. Bottom-aged player who averaged 18 disposals at a 76 per cent efficiency.

Sydney Stack (Western Australia, Perth, Federals)
177cm 72kg 24/04/2000
Small midfielder/forward who has good balance between winning contested and uncontested ball. Averaged 21.3 disposals using his handball skills to create for his side at stoppages.
