EAST Fremantle extended its lead atop the REDiMED Colts by beating Subiaco in Round 19 while Peel Thunder lost to Swan Districts with South Fremantle all but securing the Reserves minor premiership with a hard fought win against West Perth.

All four reserves matches took place on Saturday with Swan Districts defeating Peel Thunder 8.13 (61) to 5.1 (31) at Steel Blue Oval and South Fremantle downed West Perth 11.7 (73) to 5.11 (41) at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

East Fremantle also defeated Subiaco 11.6 (72) to 9.8 (62) at East Fremantle Oval with East Perth also beating Claremont 8.13 (61) to 4.8 (32) at Claremont Oval.

South Fremantle's reserves improved to a 14-3 record atop the ladder four games and significant percentage ahead of Claremont (10-6). That leaves the Bulldogs guaranteed of the minor premiership even if they lose their remaining three matches.

Perth (10-7) sits third position after the Round 19 bye while Subiaco (9-8) and East Fremantle (8-8) round out the top five.

Swan Districts (7-9) sits in sixth position ahead of Peel Thunder (6-11), West Perth (5-11) and East Perth (5-11). 

The colts matches on Saturday saw Swan Districts beat Peel Thunder 8.6 (54) to 7.9 (51), South Fremantle defeated South Fremantle 16.11 (107) to 11.6 (72), East Fremantle downed Subiaco 9.9 (63) to 8.9 (57) and East Perth prevailed in a nail-biter 8.8 (56) to 8.7 (55) against Claremont.

East Fremantle moved a game and-a-half clear on top of the ladder by beating Subiaco and with Peel Thunder losing. That means the Sharks hold a 12-4 record to be ahead of Peel (10-1-6), Claremont (10-6), Swan Districts (9-1-6) and East Perth (8-8).

Subiaco (8-9) is just outside the top five followed by West Perth (7-9), South Fremantle (6-11) and Perth (3-14).

STANDOUT RESERVES PERFORMERS
Swan Districts reserves also scored a win over Peel Thunder at Steel Blue Oval on Saturday, prevailing to the tune of 30 points.

Jesse Manton responded to his demotion from the league side with 29 possessions and two goals for Swans while Ethan Maguire picked up 32 disposals, seven tackles and a goal.

Freddie Clutterbuck returned from injury with 21 possessions and a goal with Troy Yukich dominating in the ruck with 58 hit outs.

Brett Milward kicked two goals for Peel with Luke Strnadica playing well again in the ruck with 17 possessions, four marks, four tackles and 40 hit outs.

James Kirby gathered 21 disposals for the Thunder, Corey Morris 20 (10 tackles), Michael Humble 16 (14 tackles) and Jacob Perry 16.

Then in the reserves contest at Fremantle Community Bank Oval, the ladder-leading South Fremantle ended up beating West Perth by 32 points.

Brandon Donaldson put his hand up for a league recall despite spots being tough to come by with 25 possessions, five marks, five tackles and three goals. Mitch Dzelebdzic and Andre Coutinho also kicked two goals.

Jesse Musika compiled 26 possessions and laid 10 tackles for the Bulldogs with Josh Collard collecting 25 disposals (11 tackles), Coutinho 19, Daniel Roy-McGregor 18, David Fiamengo 18 and Matthew Gundry 17.

Josh Branchi also played his first game of the season following a knee reconstruction and had 10 touches, 24 hit outs and a goal in the first half.

Patrick Graham kicked two goals for West Perth while Connor West racked up 25 possessions (11 tackles), Broderick Walton 24, Mitch Antonio 19, Conal Lynch 18, Angus Allen 17 (11 tackles), Dylan Campbell 16 and Baylee James 16.

Matt Guadagnin was also impressive in his first full game of the season racking up 23 possessions and kicking a goal.

It was another tight affair at East Fremantle Oval with East Fremantle kicking five goals to two in the last quarter to beat Subiaco by 10 points.

Cameron Symonds played his best game of the season at either level kicking seven goals from 17 possessions, six marks and 25 hit outs. Tyler Sorrell also kicked two goals.

Miles Franklin amassed 22 possessions for East Fremantle, Trent Newton 21, Carl Green 19, Peter Delaney 19, Josh Cuneo 18, Joel Kalajzic 16, Jye Clements 16, Harry Creasey 16, Ambrose Ryan 16 and Nathan Fahey 16.

Dylan Nelson and Dylan Clarke both kicked three goals each for Subiaco with Kyle Halligan making his return with four kicks, four marks, four tackles and a goal. It was the 2015 premiership star's first game since Round 5 last year.
