EAST Fremantle broke through for its first win of 2017, Subiaco made it 11 straight, South Fremantle consolidated second spot and Claremont made it consecutive victories on a massive day of Round 13 WAFL action on Saturday.

The Round 13 WAFL action on Saturday afternoon got underway at East Fremantle Oval with East Fremantle hunting its first win of the season and to move within a game of leapfrogging Perth to get off the bottom of the ladder.

The Demons started well to lead by 23 points at half-time, but the Sharks delivered their best half of the season from there with 14 goals to two after the break to end up winning 19.17 (131) to 11.7 (73).

The other three matches all involved teams fighting for finals positions and provided some fascinating results.

Claremont made it consecutive wins at its redeveloped home ground at Claremont Oval beating Swan Districts impressively 16.14 (110) to 6.7 (43) on the back of four goals apiece from Chris Oakley and Beau Maister.

Subiaco had to come from behind against East Perth in the battle of the in-form teams at Leederville Oval, but the Lions kicked 10 goals to three after half-time to win 14.14 (98) to 10.6 (66).

It was an 11th straight win for the league-leading Lions who ended the Royals five-game winning streak in the process.

South Fremantle continued its terrific form against West Perth and at HBF Arena with a 16.15 (111) to 10.4 (64) victory at the Joondalup venue.

Dylan Main and Haiden Schloithe both had 30 possessions and kicked four goals apiece for the Bulldogs who have now won six of the last seven games they've played at HBF Arena and 17 of 26 overall.

South Fremantle has also now won its last five games over West Perth.
