CLAREMONT started Round 4 of the WAFL in style beating East Perth on Friday night with South Fremantle finishing it with a big win over West Perth with Subiaco and Perth recording victories in between.

Round 4 began at Leederville Oval on Friday night with Claremont remaining undefeated this season and keeping East Perth winless with a 16.9 (105) to 11.3 (69) victory.

Saturday’s action also began at Leederville Oval with a grand final rematch with Subiaco earning a measure of revenge on Peel Thunder winning 11.16 (82) to 10.7 (67).

It was the battle of the winless teams at Lathlain Park and it was Perth who opened its account for 2017 defeating East Fremantle 16.12 (108) to 14.11 (95).

The round concluded with a twilight clash at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with South Fremantle scoring a thumping 23.8 (146) to 6.7 (43) victory over West Perth.

The undefeated Swan Districts had the Round 4 bye.

Round 5 of the WAFL sees three games on Good Friday with Peel Thunder playing West Perth, Subiaco taking on East Perth and South Fremantle facing Claremont.

Then on Saturday, East Fremantle takes on Swan Districts at East Fremantle Oval.
