'Football Woman of the Year' WA finalists announcedThursday, August 18, 2016 - 12:04 PM

Three women from West Australian have been selected as category finalists for the 2016 Football Woman of the Year award for their outstanding contribution to Australian Football.


WA State Women’s player and AFL Multicultural Ambassador Sabrina Federick-Traub is a finalist in the Emerging Leader category. Traub was recently selected as a marquee player for the Brisbane Lions ahead of the AFL Women’s Competition.

WA State Women’s Team Manager Janet Seth is a finalist for the Volunteer category. Seth has managed a number of WA state teams, including the U18 Youth Girls, U23s and Open Women’s team.

WAFC Talent Manager Alison Moore has been named a finalist for the Professionalism category. In the five years of working at the WAFC Moore has established the WAFC Female Talent Academy made up of 200 girls and women, developed a talent pathway for a number of state competitions and created an elite coaching pathway.

All three finalist will be flown to Melbourne and the winner to be announced at the Great Grand Final Comedy Festival at Melbourne’s Crown Palladium on Thursday, September 29.
