Fixture change for AAMI WAFL Colts Grand Final

The 2010 AAMI WAFL Colts Grand Final will be played at 2.15pm this Saturday, September 18, with the game brought forward from 5.30pm to avoid clashing with AFL preliminary final broadcast from the MCG.

Peel Thunder will take on East Fremantle in the Colts Grand Final at Subiaco Oval, with an under 23 All-Stars game to be played as the curtain-raiser at 11.40am. Entry to these games is by gold coin donation to assist with football development in Western Australia.

Pre-purchase Grand Final tickets and avoid the long queues

With huge crowds turning out for the WAFL finals over the last fortnight, patrons are advised to pre-purchase and collect Grand Final tickets to avoid the queues at Subiaco Oval this Sunday.

Pre-purchase a ticket through Ticketmaster and not only avoid the queues but get public transport included, and go into the draw to win two Bon Jovi concert tickets. Simply visit the Ticketmaster website at http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/WAFL-tickets/artist/1156377 or phone 136 100.

Tickets can be collected at any one of the 14 outlets across WA (see www.ticketmaster.com.au for a list of locations), or Gate 8 or 26 at Subiaco Oval, open from 11.30am – 4.30pm this Saturday.

2010 WAFL Grand Final

THE 2010 WAFL Grand Final will be played at 2.15pm on Sunday, September 19, following the Reserves Grand Final at 11am. The Colts Grand Final will be played at 2.15pm the previous day (Saturday, September 18), with an under 23 All-Stars game to be played as the curtain-raiser at 11.40am.

Tickets to the Grand Final are available for pre-purchase through Ticketmaster, with everyone that purchases a ticket given the opportunity to win 2 x tickets to see Bon Jovi live in concert on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Subiaco Oval.

AAMI WAFL Premiership season Preliminary Final

SWAN Districts beat East Perth in a hard fought preliminary final in front of a massive crowd at Steel Blue Oval on Saturday to book a spot in Sunday's grand final against Claremont.

Swans overcame a slow start that saw East Perth boot five goals to two in the opening quarter to have a handy 19-point lead by half-time and eventually go on to win 15.11 (101) to 9.9 (63).

The black-and-whites will now face Claremont in a highly-anticipated grand final this Sunday at Subiaco Oval with East Fremantle facing Peel Thunder in the colts on Saturday night and Claremont playing East Perth in the reserves' decider on Sunday also.

WAFL Preliminary Final fixtures

THE West Australian Football League has scheduled this weekend’s Preliminary Finals fixtures for Saturday, September 11, with Fremantle to play Geelong on Friday night after progressing to the second round of the AFL finals.

To maximise attendance at the WAFL finals, fixtures have been scheduled to fit around AFL finals.

This will see the WAFL Preliminary Finals played on Saturday (September 11) with the Colts, Reserves and League to commence at 10am, 11.40am and 2.15pm respectively.

The League and Reserves games will be played at Steel Blue Oval, while the Colts game will be played at Claremont Oval.
