Weller poised for 100th game

Sharks defender Luke Weller is poised to play his 100th game this weekend at Shark Park against the Subiaco Football Club.

Weller, who debuted for the club in Round 1, 2007 after crossing from Zilmere, Queensland has forged a reputation as ‘Mr Consistent’ throughout his time with the Sharks.

His consistency was rewarded in season 2010 when he was the recipient of the club's best and fairest award, The Lynn Medal.

Weller made the move west as a proven performer with 11 games of AFL experience behind him, four of those with the Brisbane Lions and seven with the Richmond Tigers.

Add to those two State games with Queensland, and the Sharks knew they were on the right path when the now 29-year-old engineer committed to the club.

He is a highly regarded clubman who is respected by his team mates on and off the field.

The club wishes Luke the best of luck on the day for his 100th league appearance.
