AFL Masters WA AFL Masters WA, previously known as Masters Australian Football (MAF) League, started in 1980. AFL Masters WA is the body that represents veterans football in Western Australia. AFL Masters WA is affiliated with both the WA Football Commission and the AFL.
AFL Masters Football is played in both metropolitan and country regions of WA. There are 14 Clubs in the metropolitan area and a further 16 clubs in the country.
The metropolitan clubs play a 12 game season, normally every fortnight at varying venues. Each Club takes a turn to host the whole of the competition on their respective home day, making the day about football, families and the concept of "footy for kicks".
