Kids carnival a hit with little Demons

More than 2600 people braved the gloomy weather last Saturday to take part in the Demon’s Harvey Fresh Kid’s Carnival at EFTel Oval.

The aim of the day was to encourage community involvement within the club.

Children and volunteers from the Demons district clubs were provided with free lunch and activities that included face painting, an animal farm, junior football games and a bouncy castle during the Round 14 clash against South Fremantle.

NAB AFL Auskick Supa 8’s Gala Day

Landsdale Junior Football Club hosted yet another successful NAB AFL Auskick Gala Day earlier this month. The 'Super 8s' Carnival is now in its fifth year at Kingsway Reserve and the day continues to grow.

NAB AFL Auskick Supa 8’s is designed around strategies and initiatives to encourage participation, player development and enjoyment, while also allowing participants to gain much needed experience before advancing to Year 4 modified rules football.

Upper Swan Boy to live the dream

Upper Swan boy Kane More will realise his ultimate childhood dream when he plays on the hallowed MCG turf during the 2009 Toyota AFL Grand Final.

More, a participant of the Upper Swan NAB AFL Auskick Centre was recently selected as the Round ten winner of the NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year Competition.

Free footy Sunday a success

The Subiaco Football District is pleased to announce the success of ‘Free Footy Sunday’ for the third consecutive season.

Last weekend, the Subiaco Football District in conjunction with Subiaco Football Club’s senior players, distributed 1100 footballs to registered junior football players aged between 9 and 12 within the district.
