Kingfisher
Oval was a carnival of coloured guernseys last Wednesday (July 8), with more than 50
youngsters gathering for East Perth Football Club’s annual ‘Smarter than
Smoking’ school holiday clinic. Both parents and children arrived in their club colours, excited to meet their sporting heroes and learn from the best.
East Perth’s Nic Italiano and Colts captain Ryan Maldenis ran drills with the kids, giving them handy hints on how to improve their kicking and handballing skills.
It wasn’t long before the arrival of five of Fremantle’s brightest young football stars caused an uproar and had juniors running for autographs.

Peel Thunder travelled north to Rockingham recently for a
football clinic with some of the town’s promising youngsters.
