Junior Football Information

Junior Community football continues to attract new players, teams, coaches and volunteers. The Football Pathway process within the WA Football development structure is continuing to work remarkably well. The Pathway commences with the introductory AFL Auskick Program for very young children (boys and girls) and their parents, schools and teachers, where the fundamentals of the skills and how to play the game, and very importantly, desirable personal and group behavioral skills are entrenched. From here children and parents graduate to local community club and school based football programs and competitions if they so desire.

In today's environment of increased passivity in young people's lifestyles, community club and school football continues to attract new players, volunteers and teams. The WA Football Commission, led within our Districts by hard working Councils, has made a strong commitment to ensuring this trend continues by making every effort to enhance and invest within the quality of the community football environment. This applies to players, volunteers, officials, parents and coaches all of whom the viability of community football relies so heavily.
