Kambalda Football Club President Glenn Garbin and his club have been rewarded for their commitment to the Belt up message.

Garbin was presented with his award at the recent WA Country Football League function held at the WAFL grand final. Garbin spoke with great passion about this important road safety message and highlighted that the club had been impacted by the loss of two former players in road accidents. These players are recognized with the awarding of two memorial trophies that are presented annually.

Insurance Commission of Western Australia board member Ken McAullay presented Garbin with his award and also reinforced the importance of this message to a room of over 200 guests.

West Australian Country Football League General Manager Cameron Knapton congratulated Garbin and the Kambalda Football Club on receiving this recognition and encouraged all affiliated country football league clubs to embrace the partnership with the same level of commitment as Kambalda.

“Once this is achieved the WACFL believes it can make a significant contribution to the awareness of the use of restraints and the reduction of the road toll,” Knapton said.
