CBH Group deputy chairman, Wally Newman, presented a cheque to the value of $40,000 to WACFL president Terry House at a recent football carnival presentation ceremony.

CBH Group is continuing its partnership with the West Australian Country Football League this year to bring WAFL games to the country, which is the seventh consecutive year the CBH Group has teamed up with the WACFL.

THE Landmark Country Football Championships kick off in Perth on July 9 with the best players from country WA preparing to represent their leagues across three different divisions.

WACFL General Manager Cameron Knapton and Landmark State Manager David Timmel officially launched this year’s carnival at Subiaco Oval today, June 24, which also marked the 35th anniversary of Landmark’s sponsorship of the championships.

THE 2009 Landmark Country Football Championships kick off in Perth next month, with the best players from country WA preparing to represent their leagues across three different divisions.

This year’s carnival, which runs from July 9 to 12, will be the 35th anniversary of the championships and to celebrate the milestone Merit Awards will be presented to people involved in 25 or more of those years.

The Kimberly region has proved to be a constant source of talent for the Claremont Football Club, with this year’s Kimberly Colts Championship on May 30 and May 31 no different.

Claremont Football Club has been involved with the Kimberly region since 2004. Since then CEO Todd Shimmon says the club has maintained strong ties with the region.
